This Pentecost Sunday:
A New Season and Celebrations

Join us for Pentecost as we celebrate the Holy Spirit descending among us AND our beloved Father Aidan Koh and his 30+ years as a priest and school chaplain here at St James Church and School. Generations of students and their families have appreciated his love, care, and leadership. He will be missed! We will have pinwheels for children, a delicious coffee hour, cake, Korean drumming, and special music. Remember to wear red in celebration of Pentecost!

The St. James Pride Month Book Discussion

Please join vestry member Matt Wallace and Father Jon Feuss in the vestry room after the 10:30 service the first four Sundays in June as we make our way through From Sin to Amazing Grace: Discovering the Queer Christ by Fr. Patrick Cheng. For centuries, LGBTQ+ people have been called sinful. Fr. Cheng's book asks how, in light of that painful history, LGBTQ+ Christians can reclaim the doctrines of sin and God's amazing grace in their spiritual lives. We will also discuss the joys and challenges of being an LGBTQ+ Christian. All parishioners are welcome at these discussions. Please email Fr. Jon Feuss at jfeuss@stjla.org if you would like to participate.
