Reflections on Mary

This Wednesday night, December 18, we will have our third and final session about Mary, the subject of our Advent study this year. We will be talking about the many ways that she is seen today: prophet, matriarch, theologian, disciple, friend and so much more. Feel free to join us this Wednesday night, even if for the first time. We begin at 7 PM. Looking forward to seeing you.

Published: St. James Awarded National Fund for Sacred Places Grant

Take a moment to read this recently published article in the Larchmont Chronicle. We are so very grateful to Brian for writing the successful grant on behalf of St James.

Parking Changes

We want to ensure that church members with accessibility issues have an easy time parking for services. For this reason, we will be reserving a certain number of spaces in our small lot on Saint Andrews Place with blue cones to show that those spots are solely for the use of members with accessibility issues. These spots will be located on the school side of the parking lot. This will only be for the 10:30 AM service. At other services, the parking lot will be available for all.

Outdoor Church School

Now that we are worshiping in the parish hall, we are offering something new for children and families. Each week during the 10:30 AM service, our church school cart will be parked in the courtyard loaded up with crayons, markers, paper, crafts, and most importantly, snacks!

One requirement though: parents must always stay with their children.

Stewardship Update

Your commitment to what you will be able to give next year here at St. James is so important. With your pledge, you are helping to support God’s work in this beloved community. So far, we have received 157 pledges for a total of $845,800. The goal we need to reach is $993,224. If you have not yet pledged, please consider pledging today by using the button below.

Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers and other motherly mentors at St. James! We give thanks for you! April 26 Invitation for Parents and Children to Experience Godly Play This Sunday, April 26th, Rev. Kate will join interested children and parents in the Parish Hall during service (while Fr Jon preaches in the sanctuary!). She will demonstrate a lesson from a lovely curriculum called Godly Play we have been using at St. James School. We are eager to hear afterwards what families think about this as a curriculum for us to use here at St. James Church as well. New Flags Flying Our new flags...
